Mr. Xu is a lawyer of the Madrid Bar Association and specialises in commercial law, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, investment and financing, international trade and offshore enforcement. Mr. Xu has been practising law in Spain for many years and has worked in well-known international law firms, Big 4 and local law firms. Mr. Xu has served nearly 100 Chinese and Western companies, from assisting Chinese companies (including but not limited to state-owned enterprises and private companies) to establish, acquire and operate companies in Spain, to acting as legal advisor to these companies, helping them to solve all the problems caused by the different laws and cultures. Mr. Xu has also assisted many Spanish companies, from listed companies to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in entering the Chinese market, setting up wholly foreign-owned companies or joint ventures in China, and providing legal services to foreign companies in China. In addition to China-Spain legal cases, Mr. Xu has also assisted Chinese and Western companies in resolving various legal issues and disputes in Latin American and Spanish-speaking African countries. Mr. Xu specialises in identifying the precise legal issues and disputes in complex international relationships and cultures, and quickly coordinating with local lawyers in each country to find the optimal solution to the client's challenges. Mr. Xu is active in various industry organisations. In Spain, Mr. Xu serves as legal advisor to several associations, as well as to the Secretary General and Director of Spain-China, and is the author of country-specific investment guides published by the Ministry of Commerce and other legal journals. In addition, Mr Xu is a master tutor and guest lecturer at Carlos III University, Madrid University of Law and Economics, IE University and Beijing Normal University.
